in the Land of Mary, Part 3: Heat and
Fabulous News
Monday, July 2
Still no power. Heat
and humidity have taken over the house. The
‘frig and freezer have been emptied, all food lost. We have to leave. Big blessing: Em and Aric’s friends, Matt and
Jenna, are out of town and invite us to stay at their condo, which as
power. Em and Aric are off to work, and
we pack up Asaka, the dog, the cat, a few supplies, and head out for Arlington,
VA, about an hour away. O, Pioneers!
The power company says it may be the weekend before our
power is restored. We are comfy in the
condo, a bit frustrated that we can’t move forward with settling in, enjoying
our time with Asaka.

Em and Aric were in for an ultrasound this afternoon, and the result is
. . . .
Grandbaby #2 is a girl!
Can’t wipe the silly grin off of my face, and can’t wait to find out who
she is. Dwight can’t wait to buy pink
clothes. Already in love.
